Thai Mangosteen Silk

ProMax

Thai mangosteen silk is hand-woven mudmee (ikat), reeled from Thai silkworms and resist-dyed with mangosteen rind to a deep mauve-purple. Its luminous surface is not one color but many — purple, dark red, blue-violet and grey-violet wefts woven into a single shot-silk cloth that shifts as it catches light.

This design system carries that iridescence into the screen: a deep dyed-silk ground, feathered ikat edges, and shimmering accents drawn from the supporting weft hues. Type pairs Noto Serif Thai with Cormorant Garamond display and Spectral body to honor the Thai textile referent.
