Estrangela is the oldest of the three Syriac scripts — a 22-letter right-to-left abjad of Eastern Christianity, current from before the 5th century. Its main text reads not as black but as a warm oxidized brown, iron-gall and carbon inks aged across centuries on darkened vellum. Rubric red marks titles and liturgical openings; nothing else competes.
This system rebuilds that codex page as an interface. Dark tan-brown parchment grounds everything, ruled column blocks hold the text, and red is rationed to headings and section markers exactly as a scribe would ration it. The voice is patient, monastic, and warm — earth tones earned by oxidation, never bright, never cold.
