Stonepunk imagines a world where "advanced" technology is built entirely from prehistoric materials — knapped limestone, lashed wood and bone, carved menhirs, crude mudbrick. Every machine looks chiseled by hand from raw earth, not machined in a factory.
Popularized by The Flintstones and later formalized as a member of the "Punk Punk" family of speculative subgenres, stonepunk trades chrome and circuitry for quarried stone and rattan lashing — a Stone Age lens on modern convenience.
