RCR Weathering Steel

RCR Arquitectes — the Catalan Pritzker laureates from Olot — build almost entirely in coarse weathering (Corten) steel, inside and out. The plate oxidizes to a dark rust-charcoal and is set against dramatic black voids, echoing Pierre Soulages' near-black outrenoir at the Rodez museum.

This system distills that material language: a soot-dark steel-void ground, matte aged-rust surfaces, hard folded edges, and spare condensed technical type. Nothing glossy, nothing bright — only oxidized mass and deep shadow.

RCR Arquitectes 是来自加泰罗尼亚奥洛特的普利兹克奖建筑事务所——拉斐尔·阿兰达、 卡梅·皮赫姆、拉蒙·维拉尔塔三人组——几乎全部以粗糙的耐候钢（Corten 钢板）建造， 内外皆然。钢板在岁月中氧化为深沉的锈炭色，安置于戏剧性的黑色空洞之中，呼应皮埃尔· 苏拉热在罗德兹美术馆里近乎全黑的"外黑"绘画。

本设计系统提炼这套材料语言：烟煤般幽暗的钢铁空洞底色、哑光陈锈的表面、硬朗折叠的 边缘，以及克制的窄体技术无衬线字体。没有任何光泽，没有任何明亮——只有氧化的体量 与深邃的阴影。
