UK Rave Glow-Stick Flyer

UK rave-flyer visual culture, 1988–1994, is the saturated Day-Glo language of acid-house counterculture: neon yellow, neon pink, and neon green burned onto deep photocopied black, anchored by the smiley-face icon and rough cut-and-paste DIY collage. Born in illegal warehouse parties and the M25 orbital — Castlemorton, Sunrise, Energy, Raindance — the flyers were photocopied by the thousand, handed out at parties, taped to lamp posts.

This is not generic "rave" pastiche. It is specifically British, specifically 1988–1994, specifically pre-Criminal-Justice-Act counterculture. The aesthetic feels loud, illicit, photocopier-cheap, and absolutely euphoric — a glow-stick laser-light flicker rendered as chunky-display type and saturated neon flats.
