Promare Triangle Fire is the design language of Studio Trigger's 2019 film Promare — a world where fire itself refuses to look like fire. Director Hiroyuki Imaishi and designers Shigeto Koyama and Hiromi Wakabayashi replaced every lick of flame with hard-edged turquoise-cyan and magenta triangles, faceted like shattered crystal, rendered in flat cel color with zero gradient and zero painterly noise.
The system stages that collision against a matte near-black ground so the two-tone fire reads as pure light-event geometry, never atmosphere. It is maximalist in energy but disciplined in palette: two colors at war, one dark stage, hard triangular edges throughout.
