NieR: Automata — Cover

About NieR: Automata

NieR: Automata is a 2017 action-RPG from PlatinumGames and Square Enix, directed by Yoko Taro. Its YoRHa android interface is famously "entirely beige" — flat bone-white and soft greige fields under a faint sepia wash, framed by thin boxes and labelled in stark near-black serif type.

The world is desaturated ruins; the UI is quiet, boxed, and warm-grey. This is an authentic greige interface — never cream, never neon — a deliberate exception to dark-ground sci-fi convention, rendered with melancholy restraint and generous negative space.
