Netflix turned the browser into a cinema lobby. A near-black canvas, the proprietary Netflix Sans typeface drawn by Dalton Maag in 2018, and horizontal rows of poster cards became the template every streaming service copied.
The design language is deliberately quiet so the artwork can shout. One signature red — `#E50914` — carries every primary action. Everything else is black, white, and whatever color the movie posters bring.
