Kathmandu Thamel Trekking

ProMax

Thamel is the one-square-kilometer trekking district in central Kathmandu where Tibetan-Buddhist iconography collides with mountaineering commerce. This system captures that layered density — deep monastic purple walls, saffron pill buttons, prayer-flag stripe dividers in their sacred five-color order, and hand-painted Devanagari signage that feels like a side-alley at dusk lit by butter lamps.

The palette is unapologetically saturated and the layouts deliberately cluttered, echoing the visual abundance of a gear shop stocking 600 items on a single wall. Typography pairs warm humanist serifs with Devanagari script as primary visual rhythm, grounding every surface in Himalayan cultural specificity.
