About Meccano Erector Set

Meccano is the original engineering toy: perforated metal strips, brass nuts and bolts, gears and pulleys, all standardized so a child could build a working crane from a box of parts. Its visual language is the enamelled red brace and the bright-steel bolt laid on a deep green plate, annotated by the exploded line drawings of the instruction manual. Everything is modular, orthogonal, and didactic. This system treats the interface as an assembly: holes align, parts join with bolts, and every element looks like it was meant to be unscrewed and rebuilt.
