Mariana Trench

Below 10,000 meters in the Mariana Trench, the hadal zone is absolute black water under crushing pressure, where the only light is a submersible's lamp or the cold glow of bioluminescent creatures. Short blue-green wavelengths dominate because they travel farthest through seawater.

This design system distills that abyss into an interface: near-absolute black ground, sparse pinpoints of cyan-green light, and the rare warm spark of a creature caught in a sub lamp. Light is always emitted, never reflected.
