La La Land (2016)

ProMax

La La Land is romantic dusk rendered as a design language — the fifteen minutes after the LA sun drops below the 405, when the hills turn lavender and a jazz club glows warm somewhere below. Deep twilight purple carries the page; sunset bleeds magenta-rose into amber-gold at the horizon, and warm tungsten bulbs bloom like the Griffith Observatory planetarium ceiling.

Every surface is lit as if waiting for a dance number: saturated but soft, nostalgic but crisp, framed in CinemaScope letterbox bands. It borrows Kaushan Script's hand-lettered marquee for titles and Josefin Sans's Deco geometry for the UI, then hits each section with a single Technicolor costume color against the dusk.
