Health Goth began in April 2013 as a Facebook page run by Portland duo Magic Fades and artist Chris Cantino. It dressed gym culture as goth: matte black mesh and jersey, black-and-white Nike and Adidas marks, and strips of 3M reflective tape that blow out under a camera flash.

This system treats black as the material itself. Panels sit black on black and separate by single tonal steps, white carries the wordmarks, and silver appears only as thin reflective bands. The result reads like a sports catalogue rendered in a 3D package.
