Gucci is Italian luxury fashion's most graphically saturated maximalist house — born 1921 in Florence as a saddlery and leather workshop, distinguished by the green-red-green webbing stripe, interlocked-GG monogram, and horsebit hardware that became luxury shorthand.
Under Alessandro Michele (2015–2022), Gucci pivoted to dense Renaissance-Italian eclecticism: gilt cartouches, snake and bee motifs, jewel-tone collage, Bodoni serifs in cream and forest-green. The system reads as a Florentine boutique — maximal wallpaper, ornate frames, the canonical stripe holding it all together.
