GRAV Op-Kinetic (1960)

GRAV — Groupe de Recherche d'Art Visuel — was the six-member Paris collective that treated art as systematic visual research. Founded in 1960 by Julio Le Parc, François Morellet, and four others in the orbit of Galerie Denise René, they rejected individual authorship and built participatory optical environments — motorized light labyrinths, moiré-pattern walls, concentric-square fields — where the viewer's vertigo was the work itself.

This design system captures their machine-precise visual language: pure black-and-white optical contrast, mathematical grid rotations, vector-sharp line patterns, and the rare controlled accent of Le Parc red or Morellet yellow. Every element is numbered, diagrammatic, and rigorously flat. The pattern is the interface.

这套设计语言提取了他们机器般精确的视觉词汇：纯黑白光学对比、数学推导的栅格旋转、矢量锐利的线场，偶尔出现的勒帕克红与莫雷莱黄是严格控制的变量。每个元素都像实验编号，图表化、系统化、绝对平整。图案本身即是作品。
