Georgian Soviet Cinema Poster

Georgian Soviet cinema posters of the Abuladze and Ioseliani era are lyrical, painterly objects: warm madder and brick reds with ochre glowing out of dark Caucasus-stone grounds. Their defining feature is hand-painted Mkhedruli titling — Georgian script lettered by hand across a deep umber-black field.

This design system carries that lithographed poster tradition into the screen: an authentically dark ground, earthen reds and glowing ochre, stone-ivory titling type, and painterly grain. It is warm, narrative, and handmade — never cold, never cream.
