About Vainakh Tower
A Vainakh combat tower is 20–25 m of marl, sandstone and gathered boulders raised over four to six storeys from a base barely 5 m square. Every wall leans inward 4–6°, so the shaft thins as it climbs and the whole thing reads as one tapering mass rather than a stack of floors.
The crown carries the signature: four to sixteen corbelled stone courses stepping in toward a pointed capstone. This system takes those two facts literally — things narrow as they rise, and they finish with a point — over irregular coursed rubble lit by one hard mountain sun.
