Dessau Grayscale

Dessau Grayscale is the Bauhaus seen as Lucia Moholy saw it through a large-format lens — a silver-gelatin print of Walter Gropius's 1925–26 glass-and-steel building. This is pure photographic monochrome: deep darkroom black, bright glazing highlights, and the famous freed-corner steel-window grid rendered in crisp orthogonal contrast.

No colour, no cream — the only palette is tone. Every surface is a print: hard-edged shadow blocks, hairline rules, and grid-divided panels speak the language of the curtain wall and the darkroom that immortalised it.
