About Barragán Emotional Architecture
Barragán Emotional Architecture distills Luis Barragán's Casa Gilardi (1976) into a design system: large quiet planes of saturated colour that glow under raking Mexican sunlight. Smooth troweled-stucco walls in rose-pink and radiant magenta meet cobalt-blue and chrome-yellow, framed by generous negative space.
Colour here is architecture, not decoration. Walls don't carry ornament — they carry light. Each plane is flat, calm, and intensely hued, with green deliberately surrendered to nature, never the interface.
