The FLN propaganda posters of 1954–1962 are silkscreen weapons forged in the casbah of Algiers and the maquis camps of Kabylie. Blood red shouts from black newsprint, warning yellow marks the star and the marginal text, and stenciled portraits of fighters become icons of a nation being born in fire.
This system captures the raw materiality of partisan printing: hard registration offsets, flat ink with no gradients, hand-cut Arabic and French sharing the same wall. Every surface is a manifesto.
