Agate Cross-Section

An agate cross-section is banded microcrystalline chalcedony: concentric blue-gray rings wrap a crystal-filled druzy center, the outer rind dark and the inner bands grading to a sparkling pale cyan-white heart. This system treats the slice the way a lapidary photographer does — laid on a near-black matte specimen mount so the 青灰 bands and crystal druzy can glow.

Nothing here is flat. The signature is graded concentric banding around a faceted core, soft backlit glow at the edges, and a strictly cool palette that never touches warm earth tones. It is quiet, decorative, and editorial — a stone studied under museum light.
