Use Curio with ChatGPT
ChatGPT can generate UI and decks — but on its own it defaults to a generic look. Connect Curio as an MCP connector and it can apply any of 2543 real design styles instead, with no design spec to write by hand.
What this gives ChatGPT
Curio runs a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Added as a connector, ChatGPT gains tools to search the library, read a style's metadata, and fetch the full design spec for whatever you are building.
Connection is OAuth-based — sign in once, no API keys. Note: MCP connectors are added through ChatGPT's Developer Mode; see the developer docs for the current path.

Enable Developer Mode

Add the Curio connector
Add a new connector with the URL https://mcp.designbycurio.com/mcp.

Sign in with OAuth
Approve the connection and sign in with email, Google, or GitHub. Connecting and browsing are free; unlocking a style costs 1 credit, once, and your AI asks you first.

Ask ChatGPT to find a Curio style and build in it — it fetches the full spec and generates your slides, page, or component using the style's exact tokens and rules.

Why do I need Developer Mode?
ChatGPT adds third-party MCP connectors like Curio through Developer Mode. Once added, it works like any other connector. See the developer docs for the up-to-date steps.
Does this work in other tools too?
Yes. The same MCP endpoint works in Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Codex, and other MCP clients.
