Transistor cast its city of Cloudbank as a painting lit from within — turquoise and gold brushstrokes glowing against a deep teal-black night, drawn by art director Jen Zee with the whiplash curves of Art Nouveau and the gilded geometry of Art Deco. It rejected the cold, glitchy vocabulary typical of cyberpunk in favor of something warmer and more hand-painted: light as pigment, interfaces as engraved brass and glass.
This design system channels that painterly ornament — glowing cyan edges, crimson accents, amber-gold filigree — for products that want science fiction to feel luxurious, hand-crafted, and lit rather than rendered.
