The Long Now Foundation

The 10,000-Year Clock is the Long Now Foundation's monument to deep time — a mechanical clock buried in a 500-foot shaft inside a West Texas limestone mountain. Its weathered bronze cams stand against pale dry stone at geological scale.

This design system distills that buried-monument aesthetic: patinated bronze-gold engraved against deep-time stone, five-digit year notation (02026), spiral motifs, and epigraphic restraint carved in spaced monumental capitals.

万年钟是Long Now基金会献给"深时"的纪念碑——一座机械钟，深埋于美国西德克萨斯州石灰岩山体内 500英尺的竖井之中。风化的青铜凸轮在苍白干燥的岩石映衬下，呈现出地质尺度的庄严。

本设计系统提炼这种"埋藏纪念碑"的美学语言：在深时石色之上镌刻氧化的青铜金，以五位数纪年法 （02026）、螺旋纹样与碑铭般的克制为标志。标题以雕刻般、字距舒展的纪念性大写字母呈现， 通体只有风化的铜与大地般的岩石，绝无奶白、象牙或纯白底色。
