The Palestinian keffiyeh is one of the most recognizable textiles on earth — a black-and-white cotton headscarf whose fishnet lattice, olive-branch borders, and trade-route motifs carry decades of political weight. Hand-woven in Hebron at the Hirbawi Textile Factory, the last keffiyeh loom in Palestine, its pattern has traveled from village headwear to revolutionary emblem to global solidarity symbol.
This design system renders the keffiyeh as interface: unbleached cotton highlights against deep black ground, lattice motifs at whisper opacity, olive-branch dividers, and the uncompromising square geometry of a hand-loom grid. Every surface feels woven, every edge selvedge-tight, every accent the restrained green of an olive branch or the red of the trade-route variant.
