Iban Dayak tattoo is the most narrative-loaded warrior marking tradition in island Southeast Asia. Each tattoo is earned — a bunga terung rosette on the throat for crossing rivers, kelingai dog-tooth on the thigh for courage, finger-joint marks for completed deeds. Hand-tapped with bone needle and soot ink on the longhouse veranda, these scrolls and rosettes turn a man's body into a living map of his bejalai journey.
This design system channels that veranda atmosphere: iron-bark night grounds, soot-charcoal tattoo lines, warm skin-ochre surfaces, and rust-red ceremonial accents. Typography is carved and monumental. Every curve echoes the scroll tendrils and fern spirals that Iban artists tap into skin.
