Dark Aero takes the glassy optimism of Windows Vista and Windows 7 — translucent panels, aqua bokeh, aurora ribbons, water droplets catching light — and sets it on a black piano-finish ground instead of a bright sky. It is Frutiger Aero after the lights go down: the same glossy skeuomorphism, the same faith in high-tech consumer futurism, but rendered as reflective black glass under cyan and blue glow. Where classic Aero read as daytime and airy, Dark Aero reads as a server room at night, a gaming rig's tempered glass panel, a console dashboard. The gloss, bevels and lens flare remain fully intact — only the base value flips from sky-blue to near-black, making every highlight and every bubble of light hit harder.
