Barbarella (1968)

Barbarella is Roger Vadim's 1968 psychedelic space romp, where the Alpha 7 cockpit is lined floor-to-ceiling in wall-to-wall shag carpet — bubblegum pink and orange long-pile against op-art panels. It is plastic mod-future glamour at its most saturated and tactile: lava-lamp blobs, concentric op-art rings, and the Chamber of Dreams light show.

This system distills that fur-lined kitsch into a digital language of hot-pink grounds, glossy plastic surfaces, blobby organic shapes, and maximal clashing color — never muted, never restrained, always groovy.
