About Baemin Typefaces
Baemin, the Seoul food-delivery app run by Woowa Brothers, got its voice from old shop signs. Its free Hangul families were traced off photographed 1960s–70s storefronts: BM Hanna from hand-cut signboards, BM Jua from brush-painted boards, BM Dohyeon from cut-and-pasted acrylic letters.
The system is deliberately plain underneath. The page is white, mint is the one colour that leads, and the surfaces are flat panels with hairline edges. Type set at shop-sign size does the work, and a short line of dad-joke copy lands the punchline.
