About Amores Perros New Wave
Amores Perros (2000) launched the Mexican Nuevo Cine and Alejandro González Iñárritu's career with grain-heavy 35mm street footage of Mexico City, shot by Rodrigo Prieto and pushed through bleach-bypass processing for crushed blacks and silver-retained density.
This system distills that grit: a dark, grimy bleach-bypass ground, desaturated amber and rust pulled from sodium streetlight, handheld-doc rawness, and stark plain condensed credit type — never polished, never clean.
