Al-Qatt al-Asiri is the geometric wall painting tradition of southwestern Saudi Arabia's Asir province, where women transform interior plaster walls into dense, exuberant bands of triangle, lozenge, comb, and zigzag motifs in red ochre, indigo, ochre-yellow, and lime-white — all bounded by sharp black outlines. This design system captures the maximalist grandmother-painted geometry of Rijal Almaa's multi-story stone houses.
The palette is mountain-plaster bright and hand-mixed bold: deep indigo grounds, Qatt red surfaces, ochre-yellow accents, and lime-white highlight bands. Every element echoes the horizontal stacked-band rhythm of authentic Qatt murals — flat colorblock fills, triangle-tooth ornaments, and the unmistakable black-outlined precision of hand-painted geometry.
