Kalaripayattu is the martial art of Kerala, practised in the *kalari* — a sunken pit packed with rusty-red laterite earth, walled in ochre laterite, and lit by oil lamps at the *ekapeeta* deity niche. Fighters move oil-glistened with *urumi* flexible swords against this red-earth ground.
This design system distils the lamp-lit pit into digital form: a dark red-laterite ground, ochre wall blocks, brass deity-lamp gold that glows against the iron-rich earth, and coconut-oil sheen highlights on dark forms. The arena reads warm and dark, never cream.
