Bidriware is the centuries-old Deccani metalcraft of Bidar, Karnataka, in which cast zinc-copper alloy vessels are oxidised to a deep matte black and inlaid with floral arabesques of pure silver. The signature is the gleam of bright silver against soil-blackened metal — a stark two-tone elegance refined since the 14th century.
This design system distills that craft into digital form: a warm near-charcoal ground (never pure black), crisp silver linework, Persianate scrollwork, and medallion-centred symmetry that honours the Mughal decorative heritage.
