This design system draws from Sri Lanka's twin ceremonial arts: the silver-headdressed Kandyan dancers of the Esala Perahera and the grimacing lacquer masks carved in Ambalangoda workshops. Ruby reds, jungle emeralds, and antique silver layer over kaduru-wood black grounds like a museum vitrine lit by torchlight.
Every surface evokes carved lacquer and oxidized silver foil — formal, jewel-rich, and unapologetically ornamental. The system is built for narrative interfaces that demand the gravity of ritual theatre.
