Solomon Islands shell money and pearl inlay unite two craft traditions into a single visual language: the strung red-Chama and white-Cymbium discs of Malaita's tafuli'ae currency, and the nautilus-chip inlay fitted into ebony war canoes of New Georgia. Together they speak of wealth worn on the body and ornament carved by patient knife into bone-dark wood. This design system channels the museum vitrine — deep tropical-hardwood black grounds, disciplined pearl-shimmer bands, iridescent accents restrained to a cool cream-to-pale-blue shift. Every surface feels carved, inlaid, and deliberately placed.
