Sadu is the Bedouin warp-faced weaving tradition of the Arabian peninsula — women working ground looms pegged into the sand, producing deep red-and-black geometric bands for tent furnishings, camel saddlebags, and majlis cushions. Kuwait's Al Sadu Society, founded in 1979 by Sheikha Altaf Al-Sabah, is the most documented modern preservation effort.
This design system translates the firelit interior of a Bayan house majlis into digital interfaces: lamp-warm black ground, vertical carnelian-red sadu bands, cream warp-thread highlights, and brass dallah accents — every element woven, never stamped.
