Hong Kong Handover 1997 Poster

ProMax

The graphic voice of a city in constitutional transit. Between the 1984 Joint Declaration and the 2000 aftermath, Hong Kong's design studios produced a civic visual language — vermilion on black, screaming yellow display type, Traditional Chinese stacked over Helvetica — that encoded political uncertainty into print production values. This theme captures that register: government information posters, MTR signage, ceremony collateral, all bearing the angular bilingual precision of the Henry Steiner / Kan Tai-keung school.
