You know the hallway. Everyone does. It stretches between the bathroom and the cafeteria of a school you definitely attended, except you didn't. The floor tiles are the wrong shade of beige. The fluorescent tube above the water fountain has been flickering since 1997, and you have walked this hallway in a dream you can't quite disown. This is the image that launched a thousand JPEG artifacts.
The Playground at 4AM
I started collecting these images in the winter of 2018, when the feed tags still held something real beneath the irony. A gas station at dusk with no cars. A hotel pool no one swim in. The stock photo of a living room that appears in every insurance advertisement but belongs to no one. Each image carried the same frequency. Not nostalgia exactly, but recognition without origin. A memory of a place you have never been.
