Restraint is a form of attention
At 7:10 each morning, the west stairwell turns the color of old film. I take it slowly, past the locked music room, and reach the studio before the bells. Silence is part of the lesson.
Blackthorn's rule is simple: remove the unnecessary, then look again. Uniforms, timetables, and rooms share the same severe grammar; violet appears only in the leaded windows, where restraint becomes almost dangerous.
