Terry is the new study armor
Why the right fleece outperforms a color-coded planner every single finals week — notes from a dorm that figured it out the hard way.
Last december I failed a midterm in a hoodie that smelled like library carpet. Two weeks later I retook it in fresh terry and cleared a B-plus. Coincidence, maybe. But I started paying attention to what I wore to the desk, and so did everyone on my floor.
The case for a uniform
I spent two weeks last winter rewriting my study kit — same notebook, same playlist, same chair. The only variable was the fleece. Soft, structured, magenta from collar to cuff. Routine sticks when the uniform does the remembering for you.
The dorm agreed. By spring break six of us had matched sets, and the hallway looked like a pep rally on the way to the stacks. We were not, strictly, studying better — we were studying on purpose.
