In 1985, a tiny cartridge made a rule visible: every square had a job. The sky held the frame, the ground set the rhythm, and one bright reward taught your eye where to go next.

THE GRID IS THE LANGUAGE

That constraint still feels generous. A 16-pixel step turns a button, a score, and a doorway into one shared language; nothing is decorative unless it helps the next decision land.
