Chapter III On the Path of the Line
Slide 03 / 12

The Line Remembers Its Path

Four principles Painted ground · sung along
01

One unbroken line, no dead ends

The kené path is walked and sung in a single continuous movement; every turn returns to the start without lifting the brush.

02

Right angles only, never curves

Squares, rhombi, octagons and crosses fill the field; the geometry stays strict, mirror-symmetric, with no soft swash.

03

The ground carries the song

Mahogany-bark cotton dyed to a deep red-brown holds the near-black huito line; the field is never pale, never quiet.

04

Seamless and space-filling

No isolated center, no empty stage; the labyrinth fills the cloth edge to edge, each motif repeating to the next.
