Last winter I removed the bright status colors from our planning board. The work did not vanish; it became more legible. Deadlines, owners, and doubts sat on the same cool surface, without asking the room to applaud.

The edge is where attention begins

A quiet interface still has pressure. It comes from measured spacing, exact labels, and hardware that admits how the page is held together. When everything glows, nothing is responsible; when the field is plain, every mark has to earn its place.
