In a dark Tehran room, one looping sculpture makes absence feel weighty, warm, and guarded.

I first saw the small bronze behind a lattice door on a rain-polished street near Ferdowsi Square. The gallery had kept the lamps low, so the high edges caught a narrow flame of gold while every inner curve withdrew into umber.

A word treated like a locked room

The sculpture does not illustrate nothingness; it gives absence a shoulder, a handle, and the dense patience of cast metal.
