A city drawn with one confident gesture
On the Planalto Central, the first surprise is not monumentality. It is the pause around it. Brasília gives a white roof, a cobalt horizon, and enough distance for the curve to read as an event, not an ornament.
In 1958, the Alvorada’s tapered colonnade made structure look weightless; two years later, the Cathedral turned sixteen concrete ribs into a measured burst. The lesson is practical: let one geometry lead, then leave the field quiet enough to finish the sentence.
