The Pocket Is a Small Promise
A useful object does not need to shout. It only needs to be there when the day gets unexpectedly wobbly.
Last winter, I spent two weeks watching what people reached for when a plan went sideways. It was rarely the grand tool on the desk; it was the small, familiar thing already waiting in a pocket.
The work starts before the shout
That changed how we made our daily kit. We gave every useful detail a rounded edge, a clear place, and one bright signal, then tested it on the train, in the rain, and five minutes before a deadline.
