Pink Is Not Decoration
At Cuadra San Cristóbal, colour is not applied to architecture; it is the architecture.
Last winter, I stood at the north wall in Los Clubes just after the gates opened. The pink did not sit on the surface like paint; it held the morning, turning the stable yard into a single, legible measure of sun.
A hard line in the high-altitude sun
That decision still changes how the place is read. Ochre earth, a violet plane, and the thin blue of the horse basin do not decorate the composition; they set distances, pause movement, and make the water feel like an aperture cut into the ground.
The turn of the wall becomes a threshold rather than a backdrop. It measures the distance between stable and pool, making every pause feel deliberate: a composition built from sun, plane, and silence.
