Print It Dark

1

One Red, And Nothing Else

A single cardinal stroke does what twelve colours can't — it forces the eye to one wound on the page.

2

The Field Stays Near-Black

We expose to photogravure grey, never paper-white — the dark is the subject, the image only emerges from it.

3

Letters Are Drawn, Not Set

Each headline is warped by hand until it strains — type that breaks the grid reads louder than type that obeys it.

4

Cut The Photograph, Don't Frame It

We collage cropped silver-gelatin fragments — a hand, an eye, a curtain — and let the grain carry the dread.
