Chapter 02  ·  Methodology 05 / 12

Pattern as Method

01
The grid precedes the gesture
Every work begins with a mathematical system — rotation series at 22.5° intervals, dot matrices with fixed spacing, line frequencies measured in pairs per centimetre.
02
Collective authorship dissolves the signature
All works are signed collectively. No single hand is credited, no personal style is cultivated. The system is the artist; the unit is the instrument.
03
The viewer completes the work
Optical vibration is not illusion — it is the primary material. The moiré, the flicker, the spatial ambiguity: these exist in perception, not on the surface.
04
Precision creates controlled vertigo
Half-millimetre line intervals at calculated rotations produce deliberate disorientation. The room is an instrument; dizziness is the data.
