Chapter 02 / The Signal
Field notes / 03 / 12
A warning in four movements

When the ground answers

The message begins as a tremor, becomes a silhouette, and leaves the city to reckon with the light.

01 / FIRST CONTACT

The signal arrives before the story

A coastal report becomes the first frame: measured, stark, impossible to ignore.

02 / SCALE OF FEAR

Fear needs a visible scale

Each frame widens the distance between a single witness and the city below.

03 / AFTERIMAGE

The machine leaves a shadow

Charcoal fields, silver edges, and one cold blue flare carry the atomic warning.

04 / NO RESOLUTION

End with the question unresolved

The last line does not reassure; it asks what we build after the smoke clears.
